Sustainable Heating in the European Fujifilm Manufacturing Facility

FUJIFILM Manufacturing Europe B.V. has installed a 10MW high-voltage electrode boiler from PARAT, enabling efficient, emission-free steam generation. This solution supports Fujifilm’s goal of becoming CO₂-neutral by 2030 while ensuring reliable heat supply for production processes.

FUJIFILM Manufacturing Europe B.V., located in Tilburg, Netherlands, is a key production site for Fujifilm, where they produce photographic color paper and cell culture media for the healthcare industry. In addition, there is a Circular Manufacturing Center where used toner cartridges are collected and remanufactured.

Fujifilm is committed to advancing technology, industry, and environmental and human welfare, and to support these objectives, Fujifilm continuously seeks innovative solutions to enhance sustainability and operational efficiency. In this case, Fujifilm needed steam supply equipment and PARAT's high-voltage electrode boilers have enabled Fujifilm to improve its processes, reduce emissions, and ensure a reliable heat supply.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

To meet the operational steam requirements and meet their sustainability goals, Fujifilm required a new environmentally friendly solution for their heating needs. PARAT provided a 10MW high-voltage electrode boiler, designed according to Fujifilm’s specifications to integrate into the existing operations. The state-of-the-art equipment was chosen for its ability to deliver reliable amounts of steam, it’s 99,9% efficiency, and the ability to deliver heating operations without adding any emissions to their operations – thus aligning with Fujifilm’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.
