Installation of the new Power to Heat boiler in Neumünster has started

SWN Stadtwerke Neumünster install in partnership with Enerstorage GmbH a 20MW IEH High Voltage Electrode Steam Boiler from PARAT Halvorsen AS.

The boiler will be used to compensate for the substantial differences between production and consumption. With capacity of 20 megawatts (MW) the system will be used to stabilize short-term fluctuations (SRL).

The plant will be installed on SWNs area in a new boiler house that is built on an existing parking lot.

Startup is expected in the first half of 2016.
