The mine is located in the eastern region of Kazakhstan about 250km from the border with China. The copper project is anticipated to have a production life of more than 50 years and is expected to produce 105,000t of copper cathode, equivalent per annum during the first 10 years of operation.

The High Voltage Electrode boilers will provide heating for the main PLS process medium and electrolyte along with various secondary heat consumers.
