Parat has for the second time been awarded an order for one combined oil fired & exhaust gas boiler to Irvin & Johnson Ltd in South Africa, this time a retrofit for their fishing vessel 'Bluebell'.

Parat Halvorsen to deliver 4 boiler plants to STX and their new buildings of multi purpose platform ships. The vessels are also designed for oil recovery operations, were the boiler plant and belonging ORO system are a necessary key part to meet and satisfy NOFO’s demands and regulations.
Parat to deliver combined oil fired and exhaust gas boiler to the leading fishing company Irvin & Johnson ltd in South Africa.


Irvin & Johnson is a leading fishing company and multinational processor and marketer of an extensive range of branded frozen and chilled convenience foods.

The combined steam boiler to be installed in 'Bluebell' is mainly to be heated from the engines exhaust system and with separate burner for burning fuel oil in order to boost steam production for the vessels fish plant production and for general heating. Boiler capacity 1800kg + 900kgs/h (total 24kgs/h)

Bluebell will be docked in may/june 2012 for installation. Parat will have service engineers at site for start-up and commissioning.
