PARAT wins new contract for a 30MW Electrode Boiler at a Paper Mill Company in Germany
In the beginning of April 2015, the paper mill ordered a 30MW/20kV Electrode Steam Boiler for installation into the mills steam system from PARAT.
The boiler will be in operation in the fall of 2015 at the paper mill, and its main task will be working with electricity grid frequency regulation. The boiler will also be an excellent back up- and peak load boiler.
PARAT’s IEH Electrode Boiler has been designed and developed by the PARAT Halvorsen’s in-house engineers and manufactured in its workshop in Norway in 25 years to a compact design of up to 60MW in one unit. It allows users to switch from cold to full load in less than 5 minutes, and from minimum to full load in less than 1 minute. Minimum load is 0% and significantly, there is no current to earth, no electrode wear and the boiler requires only a minimum of maintenance.
