PARAT delivery of Oil Recovery System to Ocean Response

Just before Christmas 2016 PARAT Halvorsen delivered a complete Oil Recovery System to Ocean Response, which has been modified by Hellesøy Verft to satisfy the NOFO 2009 requirements with regards to Oil Spill Response. This delivery was a fast-track project with a delivery time of 10 weeks from signing the order.

Ocean Response
Ocean Response is the next generation emergency response & rescue vessel, constructed to handle emergency and rescue operations, and maintenance of loading hoses in oil fields.
The multi-role vessel, of a VS 465 MKII design, is developed and designed by Wärtsilä Ship Design in cooperation with Atlantic Offshore. It was delivered in 2013 and immediately started working for Statoil in the North Sea.
The vessel is 75 meters long with evacuation space for 370 people, equipped with fire emergency (Fi-Fi I and II), 1st line oil spill response, and the bollard pull is 120ton.
