New Hot Water Boiler plant to Secunda Canada

A part of the boiler plant is a combined oil fired & electric boiler, type Parat MVH, equal type of boiler as earlier delivered to both the Indian Navy as well a to the Norwegian Coastguard.

The boiler has been very popular due to its high efficiency and vertical compact design, easy to fit into a tight engine room.

The ship is designed by Rolls-Royce Marine AS in Aalesund, Norway, of UT 782 WP design, an arctic anchor handling tug supply vessel (AHTS). The ship owner is the Canadian based Secunda Canada and the vessel will be operating and supporting Hibernia and Hebron offshore fields, South-East of St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada.

The Rolls-Royce designed UT 782 WP anchor handling vessels will encompass integrated systems provided by Rolls-Royce, including applications for propulsion, power generation, automation, deck machinery and cargo handling. The overall length of the vessel will be 87.3 metres with a beam of 20 metres and a dead weight of approximately 4000 tons.
