Harnessing your Wasted Heat
PARAT Halvorsen is dedicated to optimizing existing heating systems to further increase the efficiency and thus reduce the emissions as much as feasibly possible.
PARAT has designed and delivered boilers and heating systems since 1920. From early on we specialized in designing units that utilize waste heat from combustion processes. Various processes like foundries and garbage incineration plants to cleaners systems like diesel and gas power plants use boilers to cool the exhaust and to harness and utilize the residual energy from the combustion process.
PARAT is dedicated to optimizing existing heating systems to further increase the efficiency and thus reduce the emissions as much as feasibly possible. We perform detailed studies of the ship boiler and waste heat recovery system with the aim to reduce the usage of fuel on the boiler linked to inefficient operation of the overall system. We also use well known and proven technologies to increase the efficiency of the fuel fired boiler – sometimes up to and above 10%.
PARAT has solutions reduce the heat consumption for various on-board processes like fuel heating. We are for instance cooperating with a Norwegian company that has developed and patented a system that can potentially reduce the consumption of steam for fuel heating by as much as 80%.
