Currenta order their second Electrode Boiler from PARAT
After successful operation of the first boiler in Leverkusen, a new PARAT 10MW Electrode Steam boiler will be installed at Currenta Dormagen in Germany.

This fast Electrode Boiler from PARAT Halvorsen in Norway is a 10MW, 6kV Steam boiler with 33 barg pressure and temperatures up to 239°C.
Currenta purchase the Electrode Boiler for the flexibility of the heat generation and also for the electricity procurement. This is in line with the German energy turnaround process. The Steam will be fed into Currenta’s large steam system at CHEMPARK Dormagen.

Currenta GmbH & Co. OHG is the manager and operator of the three CHEMPARK sites in Leverkusen, Dormagen and Krefeld-Uerdingen. CURRENTA offers the 70 companies based at CHEMPARK more than 1,000 chemical-related services across an area of around 11 square kilometers.
